Livestock was one of the major industries that founded the state of Montana. It's importance has not diminished today, as it still plays a major role in Montana's economy. Therefore we could not call ourselves a full agricultural provider without including a feed department.
Central Montana holds a large portion of Montana's livestock numbers and our locations sit in the heart of it. We provide products for a number of different species with the greatest focus on beef. We are a dealer of Payback Feed, the CHS Nutrition brand. Payback provides us with a line of products focused on quality and backed by extensive research done at the University level. We have a complete line of range cakes, calf pellets, feedlot and bull feeds, processed grain products, and a mineral program that is second to none.
Along with the Payback brand, we also carry protein tubs and liquid feed for area ranchers. New Generation Feeds provides us with the SmartLic brand of tub, which is a heavily fortified, consistent product that is both convenient and economically beneficial. Tubs are available for a variety of programs, including fly control, cattle and sheep programs, re-breeding, and heifer development. To accompany tubs QLF, an established liquid feed manufacturer, has provided us with a liquid product designed specifically for Central Montana. It has taken off with great success, especially in our southern region out of the Columbus loaction. QLF makes it's mark by putting great emphasis on providing a consistent, quality product and controlling consumption.
Our line of feeds extends to several species beyond beef. Sheep, poultry, horse, and pet feeds are all offered out of our warehouse, rounding out our dealership to supply all our area producers.
What sets our company apart is not products, but service, knowledge, and information. Not only do we offer bulk deliveries directly from the feed plant, but also provide several consulting services to help area producers find the most efficient feeding program available. Hay, feed, and even water testing is available at any location, and qualified feed consultants are available through CHS Nutrition to provide ration balancing based on the information pulled directly from our producers. These services help us to operate as a partnership with our producers to maximize their profits.
Central Montana Co-op wants to go beyond simply providing products for area producers, but instead work to develop structured feed programs that maximize efficiencies and profits. For sound advice and quality products, come to visit us to see how we can fit into your operation.
